Whenever I think of art or I see any artifact, very naturally these beautiful quotes start blowing in my mind:

“The painter has the Universe in his mind and hands.” ― Leonardo da Vinci

“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is painting that is felt rather than seen.”― Leonardo da Vinci

Arts and crafts, the term coined in England in the late 19th cent. Art and crafts are appreciated by everyone and are so beautiful to look at. It is vital to our creativity, well being, society and culture and economy success. Through these opportunities we learn to think creatively and imaginatively and develop confidence, competence, imagination and creativity and that can yield lifelong benefits in health, well‑being and life satisfaction.  Artists think, explore and create myriad designs. It helps us to understand the context in which any artifact made. Engaging in art activities develop intellectual and practical skills and result in personal, social, moral, spiritual, cultural and creative development. Through these activities we are introduced to visual arts, culture, heritage and digital and design industry and that are important sectors of our economic progress. It holds the key to sustaining not only the existing set of millions of artisans spread over length, and breadth of the world, but also for the increasingly large number of new entrants in the crafts activity .Engagement in art and craft enable us to communicate through visual symbolic communication. It bridges the traditional and new media so we learn to value and appreciate the artifacts across the times, cultures and world and inculcate the new innovative ideas. If you feel the art then by seeing the artifacts you feel the thoughts, context and history behind that. This is the best way to understand other’s perspective and view.

It significantly contributes to our economy and reputation on international world-class platform. It gives motivation, positive attitude and ‘out of the box’ thinking if you enjoy engaging in it. Artifacts are a substantial medium preserve of rich traditional art, heritage, and culture, traditional skills and talents which are associated with people’s lifestyle, and history.

Picasso said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist when we grow up".
